This week’s show will honor the Moms on Mother’s Day… we will have classic alternative music in celebration of mothers (“Mother Stands for Comfort” by Kate Bush comes to mind) while we will also play tracks from moms of the 80s (and a few NEW moms from the era)
This week’s show is loosely-themed “Songs of the Spring.” I write “loosely” because the music is not necessarily about the spring or from the spring, but the selected tracks are songs that I always liked to hear in the spring in the 1980s and beyond.
This week’s show features some classic alternative tracks from artists including Strawberry Switchblade, Captain Sensible, INXS and the Soup Dragons with some deeper cuts from The Flirts and Kate Bush. This week’s show features a track from Seona Dancing, the UK Alt-Pop duo that showcased the vocal prowess of Ricky Gervais, creator of the international hit TV series, The Office. We also showcased a 2008 track from Australian legends Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.
