Dave Wakeling, of English Beat and General Public fame, is back on tour. He is leading his newest English Beat lineup through North America for a concert series that ends 2009 with a New Year’s Eve concert in Redondo Beach, California.
Louise Robey, known as singer and actress “Robey” in the 80s, will be back for another visit on Revenge of the 80s Radio this week. She will be at the 2009 Chiller Theatre Expo at the Hilton in Parsippany, New Jersey for Halloween Weekend.
Legendary new wavers the Psychedelic Furs recently announced they will be teaming up with Happy Mondays on a North American tour this fall. Furs lead singer Richard Butler has also been fueling the flames of scuttlebutt about a new album from the band in the near future.
Tonight’s guest on Revenge of the 80s Radio will be Louise Robey, best known for her 1980s dance hits “One Night in Bangkok” and “Killer Instinct” as well as for the TV role of Micki Foster on Friday the 13th – The Series (Season 2 DVDs have been recently released).
