This week, Revenge of the 80s will re-broadcast a the show featuring a conversation with Tony Kinman of the Dils, Rank & File, Blackbird and, currently, Los Trendy. We talk about the San Francisco punk scene of the late 1970s.
Our guest is Adriana Kaegi, the original “Mama Coconut” of the influential band Kid Creole and the Coconuts. Adriana is a woman of many talents: singer, choreographer, designer, businessperson and internet pioneer are among her credits. She will soon release her solo album, TAG (from which we premiere a track) and she has recently completed a video documentary about her experiences with the band she helped establish entitled “Kid Creole and My Coconuts.”

To commemorate the Valentine’s Day holiday, we played classic alternative love songs of the 1980s. Artists featured include ABC, Robey, The Alarm, Modern English and Dexy’s Midnight Runners.
This Valentine’s Day, Revenge of the 80s Radio will feature some classic alternative love songs in celebration of Valentine’s Day. We will play tracks from artists including The Alarm, REM, ABC, Men Without Hats and Strange Advance.
