This week’s Revenge of the 80s Radio show features a conversation with actress Sally Kellerman, best known to 80s fans as Rodney Dangerfield’s English Professor/love interest in the movie Back to School and the Judge in Moving Violations. She has a new CD out: “Sally.”

Tonight’s Revenge of the 80s features a conversation with Sally Kellerman, who is best known to 80s fans as Rodney Dangerfield’s love interest and English Professor in the movie “Back to School.” She is most well-known to everyone else as Major Margaret Houlihan in the MASH movie, as well as for several other movie roles, TV appearances and voiceovers.

This week, in honor of April Fool’s Day, our entire second hour pays homage to some of the best comedy tracks of the 1980s, including classics from Bad News, Neil, Mojo Nixon & Skid Roper, The Frantics and Julie Brown

This week’s show features a track from Seona Dancing, the UK Alt-Pop duo that showcased the vocal prowess of Ricky Gervais, creator of the international hit TV series, The Office. We also showcased a 2008 track from Australian legends Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

On tonight’s Revenge of the 80s Radio show we will, as always, play some of your favorite Classic Alternative tracks from the 1980s. Among the special features is a track from “The Office” creator Ricky Gervais’ band, Seona Dancing.

For this week’s show, we mix in a bit more new music from artists of the 1980s with the alternative classics. We feature new creations from Adriana Kaegi, Gorevette (Nikki Corvette’s band), Louise Robey, Martin Fry, Andy Prieboy and Stan Ridgway

For tonight’s Revenge of the 80s Radio Show, we will not only feature classic alternative tracks from the 80s, we will play a bit more than usual of some of the artists’ newer music.
We will feature new music from Andy Prieboy, Stan Ridgway, Adriana Kaegi (whose TAG album will be out soon), Louise Robey, Martin Fry and ABC (from last year’s Traffic album) and Nikki Corvette’s band Gorevette as well as some other post-80s work from the era’s great performers.

Our first anniversary show is now available in a podcast at the bottom of this post. To celebrate our first anniversary, we re-aired our first-ever interview on the program: a conversation with Tracey and Missy Belland of Voice of the Beehive.

While next year we have some exciting things planned for Revenge of the 80s Radio and the B.C. Eagle Radio Network, we want to celebrate our first anniversary by re-airing the first interview we did fro the show: a conversation with Tracey and Missy Belland of Voice of the Beehive. It was fun talking with them and finding out more about the band that still has a strong following to this day. Our discussion leads off the second hour of the show

Our guest is Adriana Kaegi, the original “Mama Coconut” of the influential band Kid Creole and the Coconuts. Adriana is a woman of many talents: singer, choreographer, designer, businessperson and internet pioneer are among her credits. She will soon release her solo album, TAG (from which we premiere a track) and she has recently completed a video documentary about her experiences with the band she helped establish entitled “Kid Creole and My Coconuts.”

Tonight’s Revenge of the 80s Radio will feature a conversation with the diversely-talented Adriana Kaegi, the original “Mama Coconut” and founding member of the legendary Kid Creole and the Coconuts. This week’s program features a conversation with Louise Robey, who scored several dance hits in the 1980s including her rendition of “One Night in Bangkok,” was also well-known for her role as “Micki Foster” on the TV show Friday the 13th – The Series. Robey has led a very interesting life and has had a diverse career. She is also coming out with new music. Our interview takes place during the second hour of the show
