For the first time in 17 years, Adam Ant will perform live west of the Atlantic Ocean as he starts his 2012 North American tour on September 13th.

Nikki Corvette will be heading to Europe for her Summertime Fun 2012 tour. Fresh off recording new tracks “I’m Stronger” and “Hot Sun,” Corvette will perform live for 14 straight days at venues in Norway, Denmark, Austria, Switzerland and Italy.

With several albums and hit songs under his belt, The Beat founder Paul Collins remembers how important the local record store was and still is to our culture and to musicians. Collins and The Beat headlined a lineup of local rockers at Greenwich Village’s landmark Generation Records to show support as part of National Independent Record Store Day.

With fans eagerly awaiting the band’s upcoming Love in the Age of War album later this year, Men Without Hats offers a taste with a new mix of their 1988 hit “Pop Goes the World.”

Thomas Dolby will be back in North America, coming shortly after a successful performance and lecture tour to support his latest album, A Map of the Floating City, This time, however, the techno synth-pop wizard will come with a new contraption: his own science fiction-inspired time capsule.

Two of punk rock’s early legends will begin a tour of North America on Friday, February 24th. Hugh Cornwell, original vocalist for The Stranglers and Glen Matlock, bassist for The Sex Pistols, will co-headline the concert series, which will run through March 17th.

Paul Collins announced on his Facebook page that he and fellow Nerves co-founder Peter Case will unite for several concert dates beginning March 1, 2012 in Vancouver, B.C
