While I am on a short break in Virginia, Revenge of the 80s will re-broadcast our show featuring a conversation with Robin Lane.

To commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the Woodstock concert that was not played in Woodstock, we dedicated the second hour of the program to Woodstock-era songs covered by artists of the 1980s.

The podcast for our 8/7/09 Revenge of the 80s Radio show is up, featuring our special full, uncut interview with Martha Davis of The Motels.

Tonight, our guest will be the legendary Martha Davis of The Motels. We will talk about her career, the two incarnations of The Motels before the 1987 breakup, Martha’s solo career, her life and some very interesting projects she is working on.

Martha Davis of The Motels is our guest on the next Revenge of the 80s Radio. We will talk about her career from the first Motels band through the newer formation, the lineup changes, Davis’ solo work and all-new Motels band.

This week we focused on geography and world travel as all of our classic alternative tracks played are about places around the world, points of interest and some fictional areas. Artists featured include Louise Robey, The Clash, Strawberry Switchblade, Red Rockers and Missing Persons.

This week’s Revenge of the 80s will take a geographical turn: we feature classic alternative music from the 80s about cities, countries, locations and other points of interest around the world — real and fictional.

While I promised an interview with Caron Maso Murray of The Little Girls for this week’s show, a home emergency forced me to postpone playing our conversation on the band’s new albums and Caron’s solo performances. I greatly apologize for that adn I will have that interview on next week.

This week, we catch up on some requests during our first hour. The second hour is dedicated to classic alternative dance music from the 80s from artists including Clan of Xymox, Grandmaster Flash, Amazulu and Strawberry Switchblade.

Tonight’s Revenge of the 80s Radio will, thanks to another round of popular demand, feature a full hour of Classic Alternative dance music in the second half of the show with club hits from Alphaville, Clan of Xymox, Grandmaster Flash, Amazulu and more artists of the era.

This week, Revenge of the 80s airs a rebroadcast of its movie soundtrack music special. Artists featured include Trio, Dolby’s Cube, The Plimsouls, Bone Symphony and Wall of Voodoo.

This week, Revenge of the 80s will rebroadcast our “Salute to Movie Soundtracks.” Featured artists include Trio, Cheap Trick, Fishbone with Annette Funicello and the Bone Symphony.

This week’s show features music from classic alternative artists including Berlin (Happy Birthday Terri Nunn), Dramarama, Robey, Madness and The Pursuit of Happiness

This week on Revenge of the 80s, we want to say “Happy Birthday” to Terri Nunn who will be celebrating tonight in concert at the Rosemont Theater in Chicago with Berlin and the Regeneration Tour. We will play a classic Berlin track in her honor. We will also pay tribute to Michael Jackson who, although was a more mainstream artist than normally featured here, transcended the restrictions of genre.
