B-52s to Perform at Bethel Woods

The B-52s will perform with 80s pop star Cyndi Lauper at the Original Woodstock Concert site (Bethel Woods, Sullican County, NY) on Saturday, June 14th, according to the center’s website.Â
The Band’s members shot footage for their late 1980s hit “Love Shack” in the Town of Woodstock, not to be confused with the Yasgur’s farm site or Snoopy’s bird friend, but a trendy town nonetheless.
While both theB-52s and Cybdi Lauper’s work through the 80s is well-known, many might not remember that the third headliner of the show, commedienne Rosie O’Donnel was actually funny back then.
I have attended a few B-52s concerts in the past and did not hear it, I would like to hear hem do the Fred Schneider and the Shake Society classic: “Monster.”
It’s also nice to see Cyndi Lauper stil doing concerts. I will always appreciate her wonderful cover of Roy Orbison’s “I Drove All Night.” Unfortunately, it was overshadowed by a mellow generic syripy cover done shortly after Lauper’s release by (cough) Celine Dion.
