Blondie will tour North America this fall in support of their new soon-to-be-released album, Panic of Girls. While they are currently playing in Europe (through July 1st), the band will begin playing live in the Western Hemisphere on September 4th in Prior Lake, Minnesota. The concert series is scheduled to finish at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on October 8th; stops include the Highline Ballroom in New York City, the Mahalia Jackson Theater in New Orleans, Club Nokia in Los Angeles and the Wilbur Theatre in Boston.
During their successful 2010 tour, Blondie previewed some of the tracks featured on Panic of Girls, which is slated to be released on September 13th, 2011. Their first single, “Mother,” was put out in December 2010 with a video. The current lineup includes three original members, Debbie Harry, Chris Stein and Clem Burke. With them are guitarist Tommy Kessler, Bassist Leigh Foxx and Matt Katz-Bohen on the keyboards. Producers Jeff Saltzman (the Killers, Fischerspooner) and Kato Khandwala (Paramore, Papa Roach) collaborated on Panic with the band.
