80s Holiday Gift Idea #2: A Hand-Crafted Fairy by Missy Beehive
Written by admin on November 25, 2009
Voice of the Beehive may have only put out three albums, but is still one of the most unforgettable bands in the alternative music scene of the late 80s/early 90s. Led by Tracey Belland, the group featured the harmonies of her and sister Missy. They were extremely popular with the college/alternative music scenes in the UK, the US and Australia. Currently, Tracey is teaching music to children in their hometown of Laguna Beach, California while Missy runs her own business, making and selling hand-crafted fairies under the name “Made In Heaven by Missy.”
In 2007, Missy Belland gained notoriety with Made In Heaven by Missy after winning the Yahoo “Ultimate Connection Contest” for up-and-coming businesses. In her Laguna Beach Studio, Melissa puts her soul and own unique touch with each of her creations, whether they be her clay fairies, porcelain fairies, pixies, crowns or wands. She is also a regularly-featured artist at the annual Laguna Beach Sawdust Festival. Here are a few samples of her work:
Missy’s beautiful fairies make whimsically charming Christmas and Holiday gifts for the women in your life, and they are known to have put smiles on the faces of several little girls. They can be ordered on her Made In Heaven by Missy website.
In addition to her fairies and accessories, Missy has created some free fairy e-cards to send and enjoy for the holidays.
Have a Very 80s Christmas and Holiday Season!”
