Louise Robey to Appear at Chiller Theatre Expo in New Jersey
Written by admin on September 16, 2009
Louise Robey will be in Parsippany, New Jersey on Halloween weekend to meet with fans and promote the recent releases of the Friday the 13th – The Series DVDs (the 3rd season is coming soon) at the Chiller Theatre Halloween Expo. She has also been in the studio with a new band, made a video for “Pure Love” and soon a box set anthology of her music will be available. This has been an incredibly busy year at the Robey/Shaffer household as her husband, the legendary photographer Stan Shaffer, has been working hard on his book: You Should Have Been With Me.
Robey is best known for scoring a big dance hit with “One Night in Bangkok” in 1984 and playing Micki Foster in Friday the 13th – The Series. She has, however, had an incredibly interesting life and career, appearing in some movies, leading a band called Louise and the Creeps, modeling, writing children’s books and becoming a Countess. She and I had an extensive conversation earlier this year on Revenge of the 80s. Louise and I are currently working on a date for her to soon come on the show to talk about her appearance at Chiller Theatre; I will keep you posted on this blog.
Details for Chiller Theatre, tickets and hotel room availability can be found on the event’s website. Other featured guests include Catherine Mary Stewart (“Weekend At Bernie’s), Lance Guest (“Halloween II”) and Clayton Rohner (“Just One of the Guys”).
