The B-52s to “Chime In” for NBC-TV

The B-52s will be among the artists to be part of the NBC Network’s “Chime In” campaign. This is an interesting promotional effort by the big TV company as it brings in several musicians to add their own charms to the familiar “G-E-C” notes we heard since we were children.
The B-52s are among the lineup of performers including B. B. King, Clint Black, The Flaming Lips and Richie Sambora who will be featured playing the familiar tones. The “Chime In” promos will be aired during NBC’s Prime Time TV schedule.
Here is a “Behind the Scenes” video from the NBC.com website followed by the actual promo:
This has been a great year for the B-52s: Their new album, Funplex, kicked of with rave reviews, they had a successful U.S. tour and has the honor of opening up for The Police on their final concert in October before Sting, Summers and Copeland went back to their own projects again.
