The podcast for our Revenge of the 80s Valentine’s Day special is up and available at the bottom of this post. This time, in addition to playing classic alternative love songs, we feature a conversation with Carmine Capobianco, star and co-writer of “Psychos In Love,” one of the most romantic love stories of the 1980s. Our interview leads off hour two of the show.
“Psychos In Love” is about a two lonely serial killers who meet up, realize they don’t want to slash each other to death and fall in love. They share a love for bad jokes and murder and a disdain for grapes. Capobianco and I discuss the making of the movie, some of the plat, the actors, the fun he had doing the show, his career as an actor, businessman and (sometimes) politician. We also talk about the potential of a sequel to the classic 1987 movie.
In hour 1, we play classic alternative love songs by Nikki and the Corvettes, X, INXS, Howard Jones, The Tom Tom Club, The English Beat, The Divinyls and more.
